Savanna biome is between the 
Caves biome and 
Woodland biome on one side and the 
Canyon biome on the other side.

The Savanna is very open and dry, many animals congregate at water holes to drink and cool off. Be careful around these water sources as often there are threats nearby.
The Savanna has one of the most diverse sets of hostile animals and only the 
Miocene African Otter and 
Miocene Pelican won't be found here.
While the 
Megarian Banded Centipede won't spawn in the Savanna, it will often wander into the Savanna from nearby biomes. Stay vigilant!

The Savanna is interesting because it has the opposing negative status effects of 
Heat during the day and 
Cold during the night. Be prepared to use the protective effects of medicine to ensure your survival in these temperature extremes!
It is advisable to learn Bipedalism (BI 01) before venturing out into the Savanna. As the Savanna is relatively flat with tall grasses, this neuron will help with travel while standing to see above the tall grasses ensuring you aren't ambushed by hostile animals.
